Sol
Solid bands of bold, choice colors make it easy for us to model a sock after Sol Lewitt’s iconic architectural style.
The Sol Crew was inspired by American conceptual artist and painter, Sol Lewitt (1928-2007). He worked in a variety of mediums including paintings, drawings, and lithograph prints. We drew inspiration from his “wall drawings” which contain large stripes in bold colors – particularly the installation at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.
As always, their Sols Crews are knit from the same cotton as our own iconic style – the Kennedy Crew. Knit on a 168-needle machine, these socks are super soft but stay firm on your leg.
77% Combed Cotton, 14% Nylon, 7% Polyester, 2% Spandex. Machine wash, tumble dry.
Universal Fit (Men's US 8.5 - 13 / Women's US 6 - 10). Crew length. Stays firm on the leg.
Knit in the Hickory region of North Carolina at a family owned knitting mill operating at the same location for over thirty years. The Hickory region has been a concentrated center for hosiery knitting mills, yarn spinning companies, and dye houses stretching back to the 1930s and 40s. Made in the USA, some yarn imported from Italy.
